RISEBA Golden Awards 2024
On June 19th, at Aisteres iela 2, the RISEBA Golden Awards 2024 took place, honoring those who made this academic year more vibrant and fulfilling. Guests enjoyed a breathtaking fire show, beautiful dances, and songs, creating an uplifting atmosphere together.
During the event, awards were presented to the Most Inspirational Teacher of the Year, Student Support Person, Student Council Board Member, Student Council Collaboration Partner, and other significant individuals. This wonderful evening was organized by the RISEBA Student Council.

University of Latvia “Chemists’ Days”
The most important event for the entire faculty community. This tradition was established back in May 1967 and spans a week, featuring both educational (Scientific Work Competition, Experiment Demonstration Competition) and sports (Sports Games) as well as cultural events (a social event with dances, songs, contests, and a Chemists’ Days film). The purpose of the event is to thank students and the most responsive lecturers for their hard work, and to get to know professors and lecturers as pleasant conversational partners, making the future learning process more productive.

LU JF SP Valentine’s Day Bonding Evening
The LU JF SP organized Valentine’s Day bonding evening “Where Are You, My Lawyer?” took place on February 15th of this year. Attendees were invited to bond with their classmates, enjoy delicious snacks and drinks, participate in exciting activities, and thanks to the support of event sponsors, continue to celebrate and experience the warm atmosphere of Valentine’s Day even after the event!

Riga French Lyceum Debate Tournament
On February 24th, the second Riga French Lyceum Debate Tournament took place. Nine teams from four different schools participated – Riga French Lyceum, Riga Center Humanitarian Secondary School, Jelgava 5th Secondary School, and Agenskalns State Gymnasium. The students’ performances were evaluated by experienced judges from the aforementioned schools, as well as graduates of Riga State Gymnasium No. 2 and the French Lyceum.
During the event, students engaged in discussions on current topics, competed for the opportunity to win Street Burgers coupons and other prizes, and improved their argumentation skills. At the end of the day, a festive closing ceremony took place, during which the results of the final debates were announced and the most skilled participants and teams were awarded.
